BRING YOUR VISION INTO ACTION
On July 20th, as the world celebrated FIDE’s 100th Year, we at Chess Visionaries International Academy were part of a momentous occasion. We contributed to the Guinness World Record Attempt by FIDE for the maximum number of games played in a single day. Amongst the global chess community, our Thane District contributed 800 games, joining the 75,000 offline chess tournaments conducted worldwide.
Amidst this chess celebration, the Olympics 2024 in Paris saw India making history once again. Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh clinched a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, marking India’s second medal at the games. Manu Bhaker’s achievement of winning two medals in a single Olympics edition is a testament to her unparalleled dedication and skill.
Just as chess requires precision, strategic planning, and the ability to stay calm under pressure, so does the sport of shooting. Our young chess enthusiasts can draw immense inspiration from Manu and Sarabjot’s journey. The mental fortitude required to anticipate and counter an opponent’s moves in chess is akin to the focus and precision needed in shooting.
At Chess Visionaries International Academy, we celebrated FIDE’s centenary with a grand tournament, offering Rs.10,000 in cash prizes, exciting trophies, and even a Chess.com Diamond Membership for a lucky draw winner. The day was filled with joy, cake cutting, and memorable celebrations, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a vibrant chess community.
As we reflect on these achievements, we are reminded of the importance of perseverance, strategic thinking, and the pursuit of excellence—qualities that transcend the boundaries of any one sport. We congratulate all our students for their dedication and progress and encourage them to draw inspiration from champions like Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh.
Join us in celebrating these incredible milestones and be a part of our journey towards excellence. Whether on the chessboard or in any other arena, let’s strive to be the best versions of ourselves.
